Questions about ceramic coating
- Why is this priced per vehicle instead of a flat rate?
- A vehicle that already has miles on it arrives in a condition we cannot predict. How much correction the paint needs drives the work, so the coating is quoted per vehicle after we have looked at it.
- Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?
- Usually, yes. Coating locks in whatever is underneath it, including swirls and scratches. Paint correction comes first, and it is quoted separately from the coating.
- How long does a ceramic coating last?
- Depending on the package you choose, our coatings last anywhere from 2 to 5+ years. Longevity depends heavily on how the vehicle is maintained and whether it is garage-kept or parked outdoors.
- How soon can I wash my car after a ceramic coating?
- You must wait at least 7 days before the first wash to allow the coating to fully cure. If the car gets wet before then, dry it gently with a clean microfiber; do not use soaps or friction during this window.
- Does a ceramic coating mean I never have to wash my car again?
- No, but it makes washing 50% faster. While the coating is "self-cleaning" (dirt doesn't bond easily), you still need to perform regular maintenance washes to remove road film and mineral buildup.
